Pioneering in the Kingdom: Mobilizing a New Wineskin for a New Generation
Why Pioneering is the Word for This Season
The Church is standing at a threshold. Around the world, spiritual leaders are hearing the whisper—and in some cases, the roar—of the Spirit: “It’s time to pioneer again.”

But this is not pioneering for the sake of expansion or visibility. It’s not church planting driven by formulas or performance metrics. This is about recovering God’s original intent—a Spirit-empowered Church that operates not as an institution, but as a Kingdom-advancing movement.
Church planting, multiplication, and discipleship have long been core strategies. But “pioneering” speaks to something deeper: a prophetic and apostolic call to birth what has never been before in a region or generation. It is a Spirit-initiated disruption of comfort zones and traditions in order to establish new wineskins (Luke 5:37–39).
As Glenn Bleakney and Dr. Michael Brodeur outlined in their Kingdom Reformation conversation, pioneering isn’t about novelty—it’s about obedience to divine blueprints. God is once again showing us His ways (Ex. 33:13), not just His acts.
Many leaders today are feeling what can only be described as holy frustration. This isn’t rebellion—it’s revelation. The dissatisfaction is not about style but about substance. Leaders are waking up to the reality that church as usual cannot carry the harvest that is coming.
